Dr. Metzner has relocated his office to Manchester, Vermont

Dr. Metzner lost his home in Hurricane Katrina and has been living in Massachusetts ever since. Once facilities reopened in the New Orleans area, he began returning two weeks a month to continue his practice and to take care of his patients. In the meantime, he started a new practice in Vermont.

He has decided that it is now time for him to be with his family full-time. Therefore, he is no longer accepting new patients in Louisiana.

Many of his patients have expressed their intention to visit him in Vermont so that he can continue to be their plastic surgeon. There is a contact form on this page for contacting his office there. His web site address is www.plasticsurgeryvermont.md . The office is in Manchester Vermont, in the beautiful Green Mountains, and the telephone number is 802-362-5655.

Dr. Metzner wants everyone to know that it has been an honor to be their plastic surgeon, and appreciates the trust you have placed in him. He wishes you health, a dry house, and happiness. He looks forward to seeing some of you in Vermont.

" I have chosen my colleague Dr. Massiha
to take over my practice. I am recommending that you consult with Dr. Massiha and give him the opportunity to help you.

Cheek Implants

For ages, strong cheek bones and facial angulations have been considered signs of beauty. Candidates for malar augmentation (cheek bone implants) frequently have flat cheek bones, which provide no facial contour. Malar augmentation can add this definition to a face. Submalar augmentation is often used in patients whose cheeks have a sunken, hollow look. Submalar augmentation can fill this hollow sign of aging below the cheek bones and fill out the patient's face. Patients who have been victims of facial trauma or have congenital defects may also be candidates for cheek augmentation.

Surgery
Your facial contours will be studied very carefully to determine whether an implant will help you and if so, what type. These medical-grade synthetic rubber implants are pre-formed in various shapes and sizes and it is important to determine which is best for each individual case. The implant is placed through a small incision in the mouth. There is no visible scar and dissolvable sutures are used.
